I do not hesitate to give them the highest of ratings, especially for damage that resulted from a house fire — skilled in providing a line-by-line, fully itemized estimate that gets a claim approved promptly, and a pleasure to have on-site, overseeing the work until you are made whole again.

I had my second water leak in two years and I was dreading the repairs, but this company made the process so smooth. They replaced my flooring and trim and had everything finished in 3 days. The work was top notch and they were much faster than the last company. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

They were very knowledgeable, very professional and very timely! I hope we don't have another catastrophe, but if we do, we will likely call them first.

Four unfair advantages

Built to a standard the franchises can't match.

01

Instant Carrier Delivery

The moment your property is dry, we don't wait to write anything up — we submit it. Your complete mitigation package and full reconstruction estimate reach your carrier the same day, while most competitors are still waiting on a handoff.

02

A Licensed GC, Start to Finish

Many restoration companies stop the moment your home is dry and leave you to find your own builder. We're a licensed general contractor — so the same team is with you from the first hour of cleanup through the finished rebuild. Our GC team prepares the estimate and makes the case to your carrier for everything your home needs to be fully restored.

03

100% In-House Labor

Your home never gets handed to a rotating cast of strangers. Our own master tradesmen handle both mitigation and reconstruction — which means accountable craftsmanship, faster timelines, and a single team that owns the outcome.

04

State-of-the-Art Transparency

No more wondering what's happening behind your walls. Our Rapid Tracker gives you the same real-time view your project manager has — drying logs, every estimate line item, signed documents, and a live timeline.

The Rapid Restoration difference

One seamless team, keeping
your claim moving forward.

The moment the cleanup's done, your repair estimate and every supporting document go straight to your adjuster — no handoff to a second department, no lost days. The same two project managers run your job from first extraction to final coat of paint, so nothing gets dropped between “dry” and “done.” Zero delays on our end.

The same claim, on one clock — the day your property is dry, time runs downward ↓

DAY 5–10⚑ Estimate finally reaches your adjuster
Five to ten days of dead time. The navy blocks are the only real work — everything in between is your claim sitting still, waiting on the next department.

Timeframes reflect firms that separate mitigation and reconstruction into two departments. When one team handles the cleanup and another handles the repairs, the repair estimate your insurance needs can't be started until the first team finishes and passes your job to the second. That step is why the estimate reaches your insurance days later, instead of the day your home is dry — even at the fastest-run companies.

Why most claims stall

The hidden cost of the two-department model

Almost every restoration company in our market splits your project in two: a mitigation crew, and then a separate reconstruction team with its own project manager. Best case, the repairs side is looped in the day mitigation wraps. More often, the job sits two to four days before anyone on reconstruction even knows it exists.

From there the clock keeps running. Someone has to reach you, find a date that works for everyone, inspect the property, and only then is the estimate written — each step adding days. Some firms staff a full-time estimator, which speeds the writing itself, but the estimate still can't begin until after the handoff — so it lands days late, never the same day. By the time it reaches your adjuster, the better part of a week — often more — is gone. Every one of those days is a day your claim can't move and a day your home stays broken.

Because we never hand your project off — your estimate is built during mitigation, by the same team — those gaps simply don't exist.

We work with every insurance carrier

We make your insurance claim simple.

It doesn't matter who your insurance is with — we work with every carrier, every day. We document every bit of the damage, build a complete itemized scope, and deal directly with your adjuster so you're not the one stuck translating insurance-speak or chasing down paperwork. You focus on your family. We handle the claim.

Every carrier, no exceptions

Large national insurer or a small regional one — we've worked with them all, and we know how to speak their language so your claim doesn't stall in translation.

We handle the paperwork

We document the damage, itemize every repair — including what's behind the walls — and submit the full scope directly to your adjuster. That's on us, not you.

Nothing to chase down

You see the same numbers we do — replacement value, depreciation, and your deductible — right in the Rapid Tracker. No calling around for updates.

Safety comes first. If there's fire, a smell of gas, downed power lines, or any structural danger, get everyone out and call 911 before anything else. Property can be rebuilt — only start the steps below once you're safe.

Your first 60 minutes

01
Get safe

People and pets first. If there’s fire, gas, or a live wire, get out and call 911.

02
Stop the source

Only if it’s safe — water at the main, power at the breaker. Never enter standing water near electricity.

03
Document it

Photos and video of everything, wide then close, before you move or throw anything away.

04
Call Rapid

We dispatch 24/7, tarp and board-up, and start drying immediately to stop the damage spreading.

What to do for your type of damage

Water & Flood

  • Shut off the water source if you can reach it safely.
  • Lift furniture and valuables off wet floors.
  • Stay out of standing water near outlets or panels.
Full first-hour checklist
  • Mold can begin in 24–48 hours — call for extraction fast.
  • Move rugs, electronics, and documents to a dry area.
  • Don’t use a household vacuum to remove water.
  • Photograph water levels and damaged contents before moving them.
  • Note the cause (supply line, appliance, roof, flood) for your claim.
  • Don’t wait for the adjuster to begin drying — mitigation is your duty under most policies.
We handle it: rapid extraction & certified structural drying

Fire & Smoke

  • Don’t re-enter until the fire department clears the structure.
  • Don’t wipe soot — it can set permanent stains.
  • Once cleared, secure valuables and ventilate if it’s safe.
Full first-hour checklist
  • Don’t run the HVAC — it spreads soot through the home.
  • Don’t eat food or use medications exposed to heat or smoke.
  • Don’t launder smoke-damaged fabrics in a normal machine (sets odor).
  • Photograph all damage and list damaged belongings.
  • Keep receipts for lodging or clothing — often reimbursable.
We handle it: soot & odor removal → full restoration

Storm & Wind

  • Stay clear of downed lines and debris — treat every wire as live.
  • Cover broken windows or roof openings only if safe from the ground.
  • Photograph the roofline and exterior from the ground.
Full first-hour checklist
  • Don’t climb onto a damaged roof — let us assess it.
  • Move valuables away from leaks and broken windows.
  • Place buckets or towels under active interior leaks.
  • Record the date and time the storm hit for your claim.
  • Save any insurer or weather alerts you received.
We handle it: emergency tarping & board-up → full rebuild

Fallen Tree

  • If the tree hit power lines, stay back and call 911 or your utility.
  • Don’t attempt removal near the structure yourself.
  • Photograph the impact point and any interior damage.
Full first-hour checklist
  • Keep everyone out of rooms beneath or beside the impact until assessed.
  • Don’t use electrical in affected areas until inspected.
  • Note whether the tree was yours or a neighbor’s (it affects the claim).
  • Cover any roof or wall breach only if it’s safe to do so.
We handle it: safe extraction, stabilization & rebuild

Mold

  • Don’t disturb or try to clean large mold areas yourself.
  • Keep the area closed off and lower the humidity if you can.
  • Note any musty smell, discoloration, or recent water issue.
Full first-hour checklist
  • Avoid fans or bleach on large growth — it can spread spores.
  • Keep anyone with allergies or asthma out of the area.
  • Don’t remove materials yourself — it spreads contamination.
  • Photograph affected areas and any underlying water source.
  • Fix the moisture source — mold returns until it’s corrected.
We handle it: containment, remediation & moisture correction

Not sure which applies, or dealing with more than one? Just call — we’ll walk you through it on the phone and dispatch the right crew.

The people who show up

A small, accountable team — not a call center.

When you call Rapid Restoration, you reach the people who will actually be at your home. The same team that responds at 2am sees your rebuild through to the final walkthrough.

TS

Troy Smith

President

Troy spent 9 years in construction and remodeling before founding Rapid Restoration — because he kept seeing the same thing: families hit by disaster, then handed off, left waiting, and left guessing. He built the company to be the opposite. One team that shows up fast, stays accountable from the first call to the last detail, and treats your home like it's theirs. As a licensed general contractor in North and South Carolina, he makes sure the people who start your project are the same ones who finish it.

RH

Rios Hernandez

Vice President

With 19 years leading restoration and remodeling crews, Rios is the calm hand on the ground when everything feels like chaos. As Vice President, he keeps the work moving and the promises kept — so your project gets the same care and urgency on day thirty that it got in the first hour. For Rios, the job isn't finished until a family is back home and whole.
